As always, a delightful read, Jane! :) Bob is just so dear!! (And that collage!!)

Your Zine class looks amazing! (Someday, someday!)

As for the pic, oooh, I'm going to guess it's something EaS-y to play with. ;) So interesting, regardless!

A very good guess, and a very good way of describing it - I'd say you are right! Thankyou for reading Elayne, and do come to comics class one day, that would be so much fun! :)

A juicy bundle of interesting things in this newsletter Jane, thank you for the book recommendations too, always like finding new books - especially at this time of year.

I think I know what the mystery image is, but won't reveal, perhaps give this clue to keep it going and you can confirm - or not! It's what would now be be considered a vintage creative activity

You are absolutely right about the mystery photo! (Did you ever dismantle one?!) Really glad you enjoyed the newsletter and recommendations - that Chris Haughton one is SOOO good! 😊😊

Never dismantled one, but enjoyed one when visiting my grandmother as a child 🙂

I can’t think why I did now - I used to think they were magic but now I know the truth 😂

Bob looks and sounds wonderful! I love that you made a book about the ‘quiet ones’ and the quote from the child who would hug Bob if she met him was so lovely!

Your husband’s book sounds fascinating!

I thought the mystery picture might be part of an oven that’s having a good soak? Or something to do with boats? I think there’s a mix of oil and water happening - basically I have no idea what it is!!

I was SO touched by what that girl said about putting her arms around Bob - it really made me feel the power of picture books ❤️

I can reveal that the mystery photo is not part of an oven, though I can see why you might think so! There is no oil or water involved…

Kids are going to love to see Bob (both the book and the 3D)! I love the little tuft on his head. And vive la quiet révolution, indeed! And please send my congratulation to your husband. And is it a picture of badly burned baking tray? (But then I don't know what the metal bars are for...)

Thankyou so much Momoko! And no, it's not a baking tray - that would certainly need some intensive scouring... you will be amazed when you find out! I will reveal all next time :)
