You'll be pleased to know I'm working on a comic using two of the characters from an earlier version of that game RIGHT NOW (it's literally on my desk in front of me as I type). I won't give you any more clues as you'll see it soon enough, but I bet you can guess which characters they are as I loved the pair so much! Also, thoroughly enjoyed learning more about how violins are made. We'll all be experts in theory by the time you're finished!

Oooh I can’t wait to see that - and which grandparents you picked! ❤️ Glad you’re enjoying the violin-making updates - at my current rate of progress there will be many more before I’m anywhere near finished as I’m SO slow! 🎻😂

As always, your newsletter is ah-may-zing, Jane! Loved learning about purfling, the lovely books, and your mum's delightful papier-mâché art! Also loved your quilt--I'm truly terrible at bridge shapes, but going to guess Bath, because why not? (It's got a lot of bridges, I feel like?) Regardless, hope wherever you are going, your August is wonderful. Also, I love how your site logo are those sweet trees, and then so much of what you write about has to do with woodwork and paper, and even leaves. :) So lovely how it all kind of organically connects.

Bath is a good guess - where I am also begins with B and has lots of Georgian houses… Will reveal the answer in my next newsletter 😊 Thankyou for all your lovely comments Elayne, and I hope you have a brilliant August!

Great to see all that you've been chiselling and sewing Jane including purfling - gosh, perfectionism de rigeur there! And thank you for the catch up with recent books, yours and those from the Illustrators fair - more temptating purchases!
